A Lesson Study Project to Develop Lessons
that Interest Secondary School Students in Mathematics
Planned and organized a Lesson Study Professional Development cohort of educators with the goal of answering the question “How can I effectively enhance my student’s interest and attitude towards mathematics learning?” Observed other colleague’s teaching practices, videotaped my own teaching, and participated in discussions surrounding improving lessons and how to replicate best practices identified in observations.
COURSE FINAL PROJECT
Mathematical Literacy Curriculum Package
Designed a 10-lesson comprehensive math curriculum package. Considered the overall flow of lessons and the learning experience for both the teacher and student users. Completed all technical writing and activity design for the project. Collaborated with team of 10+ educational specialists to analyze the implementation of the curriculum.
